My name is Pacharo Mzembe and I will be completing the Run of Awareness – a 4189km run across Australia in less than 70days.

Run Of Awareness is the second of three phases of My Stand – an initiative aiming to highlight the importance of contributing to humanity.

I have aligned myself with "Youth Off The Streets" and "Room To Read". Two non-profit organizations, which I believe, make an invaluable contribution to humanity through education and our youth. I not only aim to bring awareness to the importance of these two causes. But like Father Chris Riley, founder of Youth Off The Streets, I have set out to “Demand greatest from our youth”.

Through the Run Of Awareness I hope to epitomize the human condition, reminding individuals that Impossible Is Nothing and that to Never Stop Believing.

Without a doubt, education and our youth are the foundations for the betterment of humanity. That is why I have forfeited my passion to act and will not act again until all three phases of My Stand are complete.

* Visit one hundred schools to “Demand Greatness from our Youth” while raising awareness for Youth Off The Streets and Room to Read.

* Run across Australia to epitomise the human condition, reminding individuals that we all posses the power to make a change in this world.

*Unite the nation on the last leg of my run with a speech on the importance of contributing to the betterment of humanity.

On completion of all three phases, I will then fly to Malawi to assist my father in the completion of TCM Grammar School. My fathers initiative in honoring his late mother Tafwakose Christobel Mtegha. A poor rural African woman who underwent intense mental and physical work to educate him, only to pass on before he could say thank you.

If it weren’t for my grandmother’s efforts and appreciation for education, I would not have been given the opportunity of living the Australian Dream and of making my stand for humanity.
